About the programme

What is the Training Needs Report?

A national survey conducted by the Ministry to identify skills and qualifications the Maldives’ workforce will need over the coming years — and to plan training, scholarships, and TVET programmes accordingly.

Why it matters

Your submission directly informs national workforce planning, budget allocation, and the courses funded by the Ministry.

Who submits

Government ministries and agencies, SOEs, private companies, NGOs, and educational institutions across all 21 atolls.

What we collect

Training fields, qualification levels, target groups, trainee counts, and preferred training years — nothing more.

How it works

    Register your organisation

    You About 5 minutes

    Tell us about your organisation: type, sector, atoll, and island. One verified user submits on its behalf.

    Get verified

    Ministry A few working days

    Ministry staff review your registration and confirm you can report for that organisation. You will be notified by email.

    Submit training needs

    You Open until the cycle closes

    Add training requirements, qualification levels, trainee counts, and preferred years. Editable right up to the deadline.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Enter your work email address on the sign-in page. We will send a 6-digit one-time code to your inbox; enter it to sign in. The code is valid for 10 minutes and can be used up to 5 times.
Yes. After signing in, you will be guided to register your organisation if it is not already in our directory. The Ministry will review and verify the registration before you can submit a Training Needs Report.
The Human Resources or Training officer designated by your organisation. Only one verified user per organisation can submit on its behalf.
For each training need: the field of study, narrow and detailed sub-fields, qualification level, target group, number of trainees, and your preferred training years.
Submissions remain editable until the cycle closes. Once the cycle deadline passes, your submission is locked and forwarded to the Ministry for analysis.
Late submissions will not be accepted into the current cycle. You will be notified when the next TNR cycle opens and may submit then.
Yes. Your submissions are visible only to authorised Ministry staff and are used solely to inform national training and skills planning.
